DIES GROUP, a development centre for simulation technologies, has been working on the international public health scene since the 1990s. The company is specialised in advanced medical training, emergency aid training, and prevention in public health.

Medical simulation is born - in the wake of experience observed in aviation - from the need to fuse theoretical knowledge and practical exercise, in a context where a tiny error can be irreversible and, at times, fatal. It is essential then that medical training should be based on practical experience where critical patient situations are reproduced.

DIES GROUP presented the first prototype of the simulator for neurosurgical interventions at the international congress “New Concepts in Neurosurgical Training: Tips and Tricks” that took place in Taormina on May 22-24, 2008.
